My name is Amber and I'm a full spectrum Doula.
I have been a doula since 2018 and truly love every second! I have a deep passion for social & racial justice as well as sexual, pelvic, and perinatal health. I bring experienced and level headed support to the families I work with.
It is my fundamental belief that all who are pregnant should be treated with the utmost respect, dignity, and autonomy. Each person should be supported in their choices. My work is trauma informed, HAES (Health at Every Size) centered, lived experienced and evidence based. The connection you have with your doula is integral. I believe in a gentle, supportive, and educational approach to working with my clients.
As a queer woman who holds a multitude of identities supporting the LGBTQ+ community, as well as other marginalized and underserved communities is near and dear to my heart
I serve the greater Boston and Providence areas and also offer remote services for those located outside of those areas. Outside of birth work, I love spending time with my partner and four cats! I enjoy dancing, am an avid reader, and do my best to spend time in nature.
Throughout my pregnancy I knew I could text, call, and just lean on Amber with anything! From giving me amazing advice on keeping nausea away in the beginning to staying up with me all night in the hospital while in labor. She was even able to get my husband to be more attentive during the process and kept him busy helping me sooth my contractions. And now, here I am, 7 weeks postpartum and she is just as attentive. She checks in with me almost every week. She has truly been a major supporter throughout the entire pregnancy. It means the world to me, especially with the world around us these days. Amber is truly well versed in everything she does and shows so much passion and compassion for what she does, it is undeniable that she does it with so much love for all.
